A combination of science discovery, investigation, and experiments, this camp is perfect for inquisitive minds eager to learn more. MAD SCIENCE will be joining us from 20-24 July and 3-7 August with a fantastic new itinerary. All materials, experiments, and equipment will be provided, ensuring a jam-packed and fun experience for every young scientist. Monday 20 to Friday 24 July - EARTH EXPLORERS WEEK Monday: Awesome Archeology - Discover what archaeology really is, uncover the secrets of Pompeii, and get hands-on with an exciting Ancient Coin Clean-Up adventure! Tuesday: Dinosaurs - Join an exciting dino dig, uncover what dinosaurs ate, explore carnivores vs. herbivores, and even create dino tooth replicas. Wednesday: Geology Rocks - Explore different types of rocks and minerals and uncover the fascinating ways they’re formed deep within the Earth. Thursday: Walloping Weather - Explore the science behind lightning, thunder, tornadoes, clouds, and rain in a whirlwind of hands-on fun and discovery! Friday: Slime Party - Mix, stretch, and experiment as you create your own slime while discovering the cool chemistry that makes it ooze, bounce, and bubble! Monday 3 to Friday 7 August - RADICAL REACTIONS WEEK Monday: Cool Chemistry - Explore amazing reactions, discover the difference between chemical and physical changes, and see science transform right before your eyes! Tuesday: Wacky Water - Discover why water molecules stick together, explore hydrophobic vs. hydrophilic materials, and see why bubbles always form the smallest possible surface area! Wednesday: Cell City and DNA - Discover what a cell is, where DNA is found, what it’s made of, and explore the exciting science behind DNA sequencing! Thursday: Crazy Crystals - Discover how crystals are formed and take a closer look at their dazzling shapes and structures up close! Friday: Slime Party - Using different materials from week one, mix, stretch, and experiment as you create your own slime while discovering the cool chemistry that makes it ooze, bounce, and bubble! Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink. Please ensure your sun cream is applied in hot weather and you have a waterproof for any wet weather. Fun swimming sessions will also be scheduled during the week, so please also remember your swimming kit. Please book your child into the group for their current school year.
