This camp is for all those inquisitive minds eager to learn more. MAD SCIENCE will be joining us from 21 to 25 July and 4 to 8 August with a fantastic new itinerary. All materials, experiments, and equipment will be provided by Mad Science, ensuring a jam-packed and fun experience for every young scientist. Monday 21 July to Friday 25 July - Cool Chemistry Monday - CRAZY CRYSTALS: Learn the secrets behind how molecules arrange to create amazing crystal structures, explore crystals under a microscope, grow a crystal garden and hunt for minerals to take home a mad mineral collection. Tuesday - AWESOME ACIDS: Goggles at the ready, we are going to explore and classify chemicals with different pH levels. Fizzy potions, colour changes and an invisible piranha are in store on this pHab day! Wednesday - COLOURFUL CHEMISTRY: Rainbows rock on this day where we will explore the chemistry of colour. We will use chemicals to tie-dye, mix, filter and float colours on a cool chromatography exploration. Thursday - BUBBLE BONANZA: We will test, build and attempt to make bubbles that will blow our minds! From a bubble solution test lab to making square bubbles and creating a colourful bubble snake, this day will be POPPIN! Friday - SLIME PARTY: Mixing, mashing, materials testing...we are going to celebrate all things polymer on this day! Will it be ice cream slime or dino poop slime? The Jr. Slime engineers are going to get a chance to make a slime potion that is as unique as they are! Monday 4 August to Friday 8 August - Fun Physics Monday - MOVIE MAGIC: We love movies because they fool us into thinking we are somewhere else and help us explore new worlds. We are going to go behind the scenes to investigate how our eyes and brains make this possible. From 3D images to sound effects to moving pictures...movie science is so entertaining! Tuesday - SUPER SONIC SOUND: Listen up...this day is going to be such a vibe! We will explore vibrations and soundwaves, how we can make them, how we can change them and of course how to make some super silly sounds! Wednesday - EPIC ELECTRICITY: Listen up...this day is going to be such a vibe! We will explore vibrations and soundwaves, how we can make them, how we can change them and of course how to make some super silly sounds! Thursday - I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT: Let's get moving and explore how and why things move. There will be no police involved but we will have Newton's Laws to help us through this fast-paced day on pendulums, flying objects and levitation. Friday - SLIME OLYMPICS: We are going for gold, today we are going to get working in the Slime Test Lab to see if we can come up with the bounciest, stretchiest, and strongest slime. We will also be attempting the world's biggest slime bubble! Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and a drink. Please ensure your sun cream is applied in hot weather and you have a raincoat for any wet weather. Fun swimming sessions will also be scheduled during the week, so please also bring your swimming kit. Please book your child into the group for their current school year.
