This camp will give children an insight into some of our team sports programmes at the College. It is suitable for pupils in Y3–Y7 of all abilities. Throughout the week, they will have the chance to take part in a wide range of activities across our campus, including Touch Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Netball, Tennis, Swimming and more. At the start of each child’s first day, our coaches will place them into an appropriate ability group. This ensures everyone receives coaching that matches their experience and confidence level, helping all young people feel supported, challenged and fully involved in the programme. These camps will be run by Bishop’s Stortford College sports staff and will give children access to high‑quality coaching across our excellent facilities and grounds. There will be a full programme of activities throughout each day, including pitch sessions and access to our gym and swimming pool. Activities may vary depending on weather, coach availability, and group needs. Example activity timetable: (Please note this is a sample only — the final programme may differ.) Monday - Tennis / Hockey / Swim Tuesday - Netball / Touch Rugby / Swim Wednesday- Cricket / Tennis / Swim Thursday - Cricket / Touch Rugby / Swim Friday - Multisport Games / Rounders / Swim Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty of fluids. In hot weather, ensure sun cream is applied before arrival, and bring a waterproof for any wet conditions. If you have your own kit (listed below), you are welcome to bring it to camp. College Camp can provide hockey sticks, and if children do not have a hard‑ball cricket kit, they will take part using soft ball.
